Description

As a Field Sales Engineer at Samsara, you'll help modernize essential industries by applying IoT solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You'll develop expertise in IoT hardware, cloud infrastructure, and API integrations to present the best technical solutions to customers in logistics, transportation, and other physical operations sectors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree
  • Innate curiosity about how businesses work across industries (e.g., waste management, food distribution)
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers
  • Team player who shares best practices and focuses on winning as a team
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and be near an international airport

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on Samsara products and articulate how they solve industry obstacles
  • Deliver work products like discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations
  • Guide installers on best practices for installation and deployment plans
  • Write sample proof-of-concept scripts against the open API and document for fellow SEs
  • Act as a liaison between product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs
