💼 About This Role

You'll build and maintain global taxonomies for DoorDash's New Verticals catalog, influencing millions of items across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. You'll enable better consumer experiences by designing scalable ontology systems. This role offers high visibility across multiple international markets.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain metadata schema, attribute systems, and entity relationships
• Design taxonomies for grocery, beverages, apparel, and other domains
• Develop best practices for taxonomy and ontology modeling
• Identify and address catalog quality gaps across international markets

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience developing taxonomies or ontologies
• Experience with taxonomy management tools like Graphite or PoolParty
• Master's degree in Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field
• Ability to work with data using SQL or BI tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor
• Proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with graph-based systems such as RDF or SPARQL
