Description

You will own the full development lifecycle of advanced structural parts for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, from conceptual design through prototype manufacturing, using first principles and simulation tools. You'll collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to deliver high-performance, resilient mechanical systems for defense applications.

Requirements

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in aerospace or related industry
• Strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles, mechanics of composites, design, analysis, testing, and fabrication
• Deep understanding of load paths, design practices, and hand calculations for robust structurally efficient assemblies
• Proven ability to design high performance structures and execute fabrication

Responsibilities

• Use first principles and design tools to develop new aircraft products
• Own development of primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies (metallic and composite) from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing
• Perform complex modeling and finite element analysis (strength, buckling, damage tolerance, delamination) at component, assembly, and aircraft level
• Apply design for manufacturing concepts to create cost-effective, rate-producible solutions
• Conduct trade studies to optimize weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule
