💼 About This Role

You'll join Redwood Materials' EPC team to design mechanical systems for battery recycling facilities. You'll be the Engineer of Record on hazardous occupancy and industrial projects. This role is key to localizing a sustainable battery supply chain.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as Mechanical Engineer of Record on hazardous occupancy projects.
• Design mechanical/plumbing systems including HVAC, process cooling, and abatement.
• Review conceptual designs and identify technical/financial risks.
• Participate in construction and commissioning as technical point of contact.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES record.
• 7+ years of experience in HVAC and plumbing/fire protection design.
• Expert familiarity with ICC, NFPA, SMACNA, ASHRAE codes.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with abatement systems (thermal oxidizers, scrubbers).
• Knowledge of heat exchangers, control valves, and heat recovery.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering software like Pipe-Flo.
