Description

You will lead a research project in robot learning for Agility Robotics' humanoid robot, Digit. This includes designing experiments, improving data collection and training frameworks, and presenting findings to a team of engineers and researchers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field
• Strong skills in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
• Excited to integrate, run, and evaluate learned policies on the robot
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently on open-ended technical problems

Responsibilities

• Lead a research project in robot learning (e.g., reinforcement learning for whole-body control or learning loco-manipulation from demonstration)
• Design and run experiments to evaluate learned behaviors in simulation and on hardware
• Improve data collection, model training, and evaluation frameworks
• Analyze robot logs and experimental data to diagnose failures and improve performance
• Present findings to engineers and researchers
