💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team of manufacturing engineers to produce fluid systems for human-rated space stations at Vast. Your core impact is owning the manufacturing strategy for tube bending, welding, and cleaning operations to hit production milestones. This role stands out for building and scaling a team in a fast-paced, hardware-rich space startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers for fluid systems.
• Own manufacturing strategy for tube bending, orbital welding, TIG welding, cleaning, assembly, and pressure testing.
• Oversee design and implementation of tube bending and welding cells for production demands.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in high-reliability industries.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with tube bending, orbital tube welding, TIG welding, precision cleaning, or pressure testing.
