Description

You will lead a high-performing team as the primary legal resource for the global Sales organization, negotiating high-impact agreements and driving operationalization of new commercial programs at a leading biotechnology company. You'll oversee complex sales transactions, serve as the escalation point for sales-related legal matters, and help implement AI tools to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years directly drafting and negotiating commercial terms and other agreements, including contracting with academic, pharma, and biotech life sciences customers globally
• Must include in-house experience
• Able to serve as a strong business partner integrating legal advice with business acumen
• Demonstrated track record of operationalizing legal support for commercial organizations
• Creative, independent, and solutions-oriented; manage multiple high-priority workstreams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with high commitment to accuracy
• JD degree and admitted to practice (preferably in California) (preferred)
• Experience managing and leading other legal or contract professionals (preferred)
• Experience with implementing legal technology tools, such as AI for contract review (preferred)
• Commercial contracting experience spanning both RUO and diagnostic products and services (preferred)
