Description

You will provide fire protection consulting services to clients, collaborating with a team of engineers and specialty consultants on a variety of projects. Your work will involve life safety code consulting, fire protection design, fire alarm/mass notification design, smoke control design, hazardous materials consulting, system commissioning, and performance-based solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher.
• 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• Licensed as a professional engineer in Texas preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must be local to Austin, TX, Allen, TX, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO metro areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection engineering services: life safety code consulting, fire protection design, fire alarm/mass notification design, smoke control design, hazardous materials consulting, system commissioning, and performance-based solutions.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring accuracy and adherence to professional standards.
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, research, and detailed design work.
• Conduct building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection and alarm system reviews, smoke control system reviews, and sprinkler/water supply system reviews including hydraulic calculations.
• Manage projects including proposal development, scope, schedule, budget, resource coordination, and client interaction.
