💼 About This Role

You'll support sustaining engineering efforts for DigitalOcean's server fleet hardware infrastructure, ensuring reliability at mega-scale. You'll act as a key escalation point for data center ops and help drive failure prevention. This role focuses on operational excellence and continuous improvement in a high-growth cloud environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Act as member of Sustaining Engineering team supporting server hardware lifecycle
• Monitor channels and drive hardware/firmware issues to resolution
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Develop and maintain standards for hardware operations

📋 Requirements

• Technical degree (BS CS/Engineering) or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience operating cloud infrastructure at mid-tier scale or better
• In-depth understanding of server hardware, firmware, and infrastructure
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting techniques, Python and BASH

✨ Nice to Have

• JTAG debugging / Firmware troubleshooting / Wire sniffing experience
