Description

You will build large-scale backend platform products and services for Roku's streaming ecosystem, working with product and design teams to take concepts from ideation to production. You'll lead efforts to evaluate new technologies and drive best practices across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 8+ years building large-scale distributed systems
• 5+ years with cloud-based platforms and infrastructure
• Understanding of system concepts like eventual consistency and CAP theorem
• Deep experience building microservices using Java on Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with databases such as Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB

• Build large-scale platform products and services for millions of devices
• Work with Product/Design teams to iterate and build software from ideation to production
• Lead evaluation of new technologies and drive best practices across development lifecycle
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Participate in Agile development including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
