Description

You will drive architecture for a specific product domain within JetBrains Cloud Platform, ensuring product requirements translate into coherent technical designs. You'll own the end-to-end architecture, define service boundaries and data flows, and collaborate with platform architects to align on cross-cutting decisions.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software engineering and system design for complex systems
• Track record of owning architecture within a product or domain
• Comfortable aligning product needs with platform capabilities and negotiating trade-offs
• Can facilitate architectural decision-making inside and across teams
• Comfortable in an environment where processes and standards are still being formed

Responsibilities

• Own architecture of a product domain and evolve it over time
• Translate product requirements into architectural designs and implementation approaches
• Define service boundaries, domain models, data flows, and integration contracts
• Drive key architectural decisions and trade-offs (API design, persistence, reliability, performance)
• Ensure domain architecture supports scalability, reliability, and observability
