💼 About This Role

You'll develop control software for advanced R&D equipment and complex machinery at a leading fusion energy company. You'll produce production-ready code for mission-critical real-time systems and integrate your software into hardware testbeds and production tools. You'll also contribute to improving tooling and processes across the company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop control software across PLCs and real-time Linux platforms
• Design and implement operator interfaces and workflows
• Improve software tooling to increase developer velocity
• Integrate software into testbeds and production tools

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering)
• Several years of experience with industrial control systems or embedded control systems
• Several years of experience producing production quality control software
• Proficiency with Python and at least one real-time control language (C++, SCL/ST, Rust)

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Beckhoff TwinCat or other industrial control platforms
• Experience with Linux
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherCat, Profinet, Modbus)
