Description

You will lead the airborne electronic hardware systems development for Archer's high voltage Battery Management System, ensuring hardware meets safety, reliability, and certification standards for eVTOL aircraft. You'll develop requirements and documentation to enable certification and safe operation of battery systems for sustainable urban air mobility.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years in systems engineering or electronic hardware qualification, preferably in aerospace or automotive
• Strong understanding of mixed-signal electronic design
• Experience with Polarion or requirements management tools
• Knowledge of DO-254 or ISO 26262 design assurance and verification

Responsibilities

• Lead AEH systems development for BMS electronics
• Develop comprehensive hardware requirements and traceability matrices per DO-254 and ARP4754A
• Define system/subsystem interface definitions
• Coordinate with regulators and DERs on certification artifacts
• Participate in design reviews, hardware qualification, and root cause analysis
