Description

You will develop first-principles models for battery refining and materials production processes using custom software to optimize plant efficiency, detect equipment failures, and power soft sensors. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to design high-level control strategies and integrate live data for anomaly detection.

Requirements

• M.S. in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in Systems Design Engineering and first-principles modeling
• Proficiency in Python and/or simulation software with functional software engineering skills
• Strong grasp of mechanical, electrical, and thermodynamic fundamentals
• Experience with complex system design

Responsibilities

• Implement complex system models integrating mechanical, thermal, chemical, and control theories in custom software
• Design and implement control algorithms to optimize plant operations
• Own and maintain controls-plant model software in the loop tests
• Integrate live factory data into models to detect equipment anomalies
• Optimize plant efficiency through modeling support
