You'll drive architectural direction and lead cross-team initiatives on the Commit Backend team, building and scaling the distributed platform that powers Outreach's forecasting and opportunity management systems. You'll ensure predictable delivery of high-impact programs and create clarity in ambiguous environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional leadership.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and evolve distributed, service-oriented systems
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability gaps

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years building and scaling distributed backend systems
• Deep expertise in cloud-native and service-oriented architectures
• Strong system design skills with long-term architectural thinking
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-team initiatives

• Ruby/Go experience
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
