💼 About This Role

You'll drive route invention and scalable synthesis for small molecule drug candidates as part of Treeline Biosciences' Process Chemistry team. You'll enable SAR exploration and deliver material for biological and early toxicology studies. This role offers the chance to advance cross-disciplinary drug discovery in a clinical-stage biotech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and execute route scouting and synthetic strategies for drug candidates.
• Optimize chemical transformations for scalable synthesis.
• Support multi-gram to kilogram-scale synthesis for studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medicinal Chemistry and DMPK.

📋 Requirements

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with 3–8+ years industry or postdoctoral experience.
• Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction development, and route design.
• Experience with complex molecule synthesis and route optimization.
• Familiarity with scale-up considerations and impurity control.

• Experience with modern synthetic methodologies such as flow chemistry or photochemistry.
• Experience enabling synthesis of structurally complex drug candidates or emerging modalities.
• Demonstrated creative problem solving in synthetic chemistry.
