Description

You will provide strategic legal advice to Google's teams on product development, marketing, and engineering. You'll draft and negotiate technology contracts, advise on compliance and risk mitigation, and stay current with relevant laws. This long-term engagement offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects at a leading technology company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience at a top law firm or in-house as product, technology, commercial, privacy, or IP counsel
• Experience taking on complex projects
• Called to bar in Ontario
• Preferred: In-house experience at a large technology company
• Preferred: Experience partnering with R&D teams and engineers, held Product Counsel title, launched a product

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to teams from R&D, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, and Sales throughout product development and launch
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts such as Cloud/SaaS agreements
• Support business teams in building consensus on projects from design to launch
• Review global products, features, and platforms to provide legal risk mitigation strategies
• Stay updated on industry, data privacy, consumer protection, and advertising laws and regulations
