💼 About This Role

You'll work directly with emergency communications centers to integrate their telephony, audio, and CAD systems into GovWorx's secure cloud environment. Your core impact will be ensuring reliable, real-time system connectivity for public safety professionals. This role stands out for its blend of remote technical work and occasional on-site field engineering.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Install and maintain integrations between customer telephony/CAD systems and GovWorx applications
• Troubleshoot audio connections, SIP signaling, and network issues across distributed systems
• Assist with setup and support of hardware devices for audio or data ingestion
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours, weekend, and holiday support

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT, telecommunications, or technical services
• Hands-on experience with VoIP, SIP, RTP, or PBX platforms (Cisco, Avaya, etc.)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, QoS)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system, network, and audio issues in production environments

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with public safety systems (PSAPs, ECCs, CAD, 911 telephony)
• Familiarity with SIP troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, packet capture analysis)
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
