Description

As a Senior Engineer on the Performance Engineering team at Okta's Auth0 unit, you will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across our distributed systems, develop software in Node.js and Golang, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize code, infrastructure, and architecture for our CIAM platform serving billions of logins monthly.

Requirements

• Experience in senior software engineering roles in remote work environment
• Strong self-motivation and aptitude for investigation and experimentation
• Experience developing application software in Node.js with Hapi.js or Fastify
• Experience with API-driven cloud-native distributed systems in Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure
• Experience with APM tools like Datadog APM, Splunk, etc. and familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Responsibilities

• Analyze and write code to remove performance bottlenecks in software
• Develop software in Node.js and Golang for production services
• Write decision records and RFCs to communicate technical approaches
• Collaborate with service owners, architects, and platform teams to drive performance improvements
• Nurture a shift-left culture for performance and improve awareness across Engineering
