💼 About This Role

You'll lead Tavily's data platform, architecting systems from real-time ingestion to consumer-facing datasets for agentic search. Your team will enable researchers and engineers to query trustworthy data, driving product and business decisions. This role combines hands-on engineering with team leadership in a high-impact AI environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect data platform from ingestion to consumer datasets
• Lead, hire, and mentor a team of data engineers
• Define observability: quality checks, freshness, lineage
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts on data models

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in Data Engineering with cloud data warehouses
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and medallion schema
• Deep knowledge of database schema design and query optimization
• Experience with data orchestration (Airflow, dbt) and streaming (Kafka)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Spark/MapReduce paradigm
• Familiarity with NoSQL use cases
• Experience operating production data systems
