You'll provide senior technical leadership for Toolforge, the platform powering community-built tools that drive 30% of Wikipedia edits. You'll design and implement software systems and workflows to reduce friction and improve reliability. This role shapes the developer experience for over 3,300 community tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of platform software for Toolforge.
• Define golden paths for bots, web tools, and data-processing tools.
• Redesign the tool creation and maintenance UI.
• Partner with SREs to integrate platform software with infrastructure.

📋 Requirements

• Extensive experience as a senior or Staff-level software engineer.
• Strong architectural skills across APIs, backend services, and user-facing workflows.
• Experience designing and building developer platforms (build systems, deployment pipelines, lifecycle tooling).
• Ability to work effectively across roles, partnering with SREs, product, and volunteer contributors.
