Description
You'll lead a team of technical artists, define rendering and lighting requirements, own artist-facing pipeline interfaces, and collaborate with engineering to balance visual fidelity with performance. Your work will directly shape the visual identity of an exciting unannounced title.
Requirements
- 6+ years as a Technical Artist in games or related industry
- Experience with Unreal Engine lighting, rendering, and scripting
- Proficiency in Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, Substance Suite, or Blender
- In-depth understanding of real-time rendering and optimization
- Strong communication skills to bridge art and engineering
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of technical artists, providing coaching and guidance
- Partner with Art Leadership to define rendering and lighting requirements
- Own and support artist-facing interfaces to the rendering pipeline
- Evaluate performance implications of rendering features with Engineering
- Optimize asset pipeline and integrate lighting/rendering workflows
