💼 About This Role

You'll join as Senior Lead Counsel, Data & Privacy, overseeing data and privacy legal matters across the Americas. You'll shape Airwallex's data and privacy strategy, design scalable compliance for fintech and AI-driven products, and translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic solutions that enable growth.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as lead data and privacy counsel for the Americas region
• Develop and execute privacy and data protection compliance programs
• Advise on AI governance and implement fit-for-purpose AI governance
• Draft and negotiate complex data protection and data-sharing terms

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a privacy and data protection lawyer
• Deep knowledge of US federal and state privacy laws (e.g., GLBA, FCRA, CCPA/CPRA)
• Experience with global data protection frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SCCs)
• Experience advising on AI governance and related regulatory frameworks

• Experience with cross-border data transfers and data localization
• CIPP/US or equivalent certification
