You'll install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cabling infrastructure in mission-critical environments. You'll ensure precision and documentation accuracy while working with advanced test equipment. This role requires 90% travel and must be located near a major airport.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of single-mode and multi-mode fibers
  • Install and manage fiber in ODFs, splice trays, enclosures, and patch panels
  • Use OTDR, OLTS, and power meters to certify and troubleshoot fiber links
  • Diagnose and repair faults in fiber optic networks with root cause analysis

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing, testing, and installation
  • Proficiency with high-precision fusion splicers (e.g., Fujikura, Sumitomo, or INNO)
  • Advanced use of OTDRs and interpreting complex OTDR traces
  • Experience working in both ISP and OSP environments

โœจ Nice to Have

  • FOA CFOT, CFOS/T, or BICSI certifications
  • Manufacturer training/certification (Corning, CommScope, or AFL)
  • Project leadership or supervisory experience in a technical team
