💼 About This Role
You'll serve as a host for the TAY Health and Wellness Center, guiding participants to resources like showers, lockers, and pantry. You'll connect participants to case managers and specialists, perform wellness checks, and foster a safe, supportive environment. This role demands de-escalation skills and a commitment to social justice.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Welcome and orient participants to the Center and its resources.
- Perform safety and wellness checks inside and around the Center.
- Link participants to case managers, specialists, and community partners.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of common areas.
📋 Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years experience in health or human services providing advocacy or navigation.
- CPR, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Prevention, and Overdose Prevention certifications (or obtain within 3 months).
- Ability to use computer systems for typing, data entry, and documentation.
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with de-escalation techniques.
- Knowledge of community-based principles for working with homelessness, substance use, and mental health.
- Bilingual skills.
