💼 About This Role

You'll design fiber-chip coupling solutions for quantum photonic integrated circuits at PsiQuantum. Your work will directly enable large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computing systems. This is a rare opportunity to own full-cycle device development for the first utility-scale quantum computers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, model, and analyze novel fiber-chip coupling concepts
• Own coupling device development across full lifecycle
• Contribute to photonic tapeouts and coordinate with stakeholders
• Collaborate on automated high-volume measurements and test methods

📋 Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• ~5 years experience in integrated photonics
• Expertise in fiber-chip coupling and optical packaging
• Proficiency in Python for scientific computing

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Lumerical, Tidy3D, or similar simulation tools
• Photonic layout experience using IPKISS or gdsfactory
• Familiarity with integrated photonics manufacturing processes
