💼 About This Role

You'll design and build backend systems for a food-tech company's digital experience and internal applications. You'll own problems end-to-end, make technical decisions, and see solutions through to production using AI-assisted development workflows. This hybrid role in Chicago offers the chance to work across the stack and shape engineering practices for a growing startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go and AWS
• Own problems end-to-end from scoping to production
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily workflow
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define solutions

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Depth in backend development with APIs, data pipelines, distributed systems
• Strong systems design fundamentals
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Go and/or AWS
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience building or integrating AI/ML features into products
