Join Lightmatter to develop ASICs for next-generation AI computing architectures that use photonic technology. You will work with computer architects and engineers to design innovative compute accelerators that keep power low while meeting customer needs.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience with Bachelor's or 6+ years with Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering
• Expertise in high-speed digital design techniques
• Expertise in power-efficient digital design techniques
• Experience in ASIC design with multiple successful tapeouts

Responsibilities

• Develop microarchitecture design and RTL for ML/AI accelerator ASICs/SoCs, including memory system and NoC
• Integrate silicon photonic communication and compute technology into digital accelerator design
• Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, Implementation, Photonic, Analog, and Software teams
• Create design specifications and documentation for cross-team collaboration
• Manage RTL implementation to achieve functional and performant designs within schedule
