Description

You will design and build critical infrastructure to accelerate research into AI's societal impacts, working on studies about future of work, wellbeing, and education. Your work will directly contribute to research publications, policy campaigns, safety systems, and products.

Requirements

• Experience working with research scientists on ambiguous AI projects
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade internal tools or research infrastructure
• Proficiency in writing clean, well-documented Python code
• Ability to make technical decisions with incomplete information while maintaining high standards
• Experience building systems on top of LLMs

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable technical infrastructure for running experiments and evaluating AI systems
• Architect systems that handle uncertain requirements with high reliability
• Lead technical design discussions for infrastructure supporting current and future research
• Partner with researchers, data scientists, and policy experts to advance AI safety
• Ship changes to models and products based on empirical research on societal impacts
