Description

You will lead the technical strategy and architecture for the conversion data privacy platform at Pinterest, designing and evolving core privacy infrastructure and de-identification pipelines for ads reporting. You will partner cross-functionally to translate legal and privacy requirements into technical designs, drive operational excellence, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• BS+ in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with large-scale data or distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java/Scala/Kotlin or Python and SQL
• Experience designing secure systems, data modeling, and access control
• Meaningful experience in privacy-preserving data systems, ads measurement, or large-scale analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for conversion data privacy across access controls, de-identification, deletion, and privacy rules enforcement
• Design and evolve core privacy infrastructure including controlled environments, authorization, and policy enforcement
• Own de-identification pipelines for ads reporting end-to-end, from separating sensitive data to generating privacy-preserving datasets
• Build privacy frameworks and tooling for safe, compliant conversion data usage that is self-service for downstream teams
• Drive operational excellence by defining SLAs, building monitoring and alerting, and leading incident response
