You will coordinate and execute executive briefings, dinners, and small events for a16z's Go-To-Market Network, ensuring flawless logistics and high-touch experiences for C-level executives and portfolio companies. You will manage all aspects of event planning, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain operational excellence using tools like Salesforce and Google Workspace.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of events experience
• Excel in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Previous experience in hospitality or high-touch client service is a strong plus
• Proven experience with food and beverage coordination, venue sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and shift priorities quickly
• Proactive and solutions-oriented with ability to anticipate needs
• Stays calm and levelheaded under pressure
• Hands on experience using Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Zoom
• Focused on continuous learning and a growth mindset
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel to US based events as needed

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute small meetings and events, managing all logistics including scheduling, venue setup, catering, guest communications, on-site coordination, and post-event wrap-up.
• Represent the a16z GTM brand with excellence, professionalism, and care in every touchpoint.
• Maintain operational excellence using Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Zoom to keep systems up to date and organized.
• Operate with poise and agility, adapting quickly and problem-solving in real time.
• Demonstrate a strong service mindset by anticipating needs, going the extra mile, and handling every request with discretion and attention to detail.
