Description

As Senior Counsel at Roku, you'll provide legal guidance on novel issues in TV streaming, supporting product development from design to launch. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to manage legal risk while advancing business goals and protecting users globally.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a practicing attorney with significant in-house experience in data privacy and product development.
• Strong knowledge of global privacy and data security laws.
• Familiarity with content distribution agreements (MVPD, DMVPD, app development).
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
• Passion for technology and understanding of online media, ad tech, and cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Advise on privacy and data security for product development and distribution agreements.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international data protection, consumer protection, and advertising laws.
• Review user flows, product features, and communications for compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and support.
• Develop scalable processes for legal review of new product launches.
