Description

You will design and build advanced Android applications and features for Roku's mobile app, enabling millions of users to interact with their streaming devices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and high-performance experiences, while contributing to technical design and code quality.

Requirements

• Professional Android development experience with Kotlin and/or Compose
• Strong experience shipping and maintaining production apps in Play Store
• Proficiency in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot with prompt engineering
• Experience with IoT or networked device interactions is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's/PhD in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications and features
• Integrate with cloud APIs and local device communication protocols
• Write and maintain tests using JUnit and Espresso
• Debug, profile, and optimize app performance across Android devices
• Participate in design and code reviews, and contribute to roadmap planning
