💼 About This Role

You'll join Clay's Performance team to solve pressing scaling problems and optimize throughput and reliability of core systems. You'll identify performance bottlenecks and lay the foundation for observability. This role involves sharding Postgres and Redis and handling Node event loop blockages.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in core systems.
• Create and monitor meaningful performance metrics for services.
• Advise teams on scalable and performant feature design.
• Address scalability challenges like sharding Postgres and Redis.

📋 Requirements

• Experience in API latency optimization.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases like Postgres.
• Expertise in Redis, Postgres, ElasticSearch, or OpenSearch.

• Experience with large-scale high-performance data pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in optimizing serverless workloads on AWS.
• Experience with current tech stack: React, TypeScript, Python, AWS services.
