Description

You will build and own Redpanda's Grafana-based observability platform, designing dashboards, alerts, SLO/SLI frameworks, and scalable telemetry pipelines to give engineering teams deep visibility into system health. You'll work across cloud and on-premise environments to reduce MTTR and drive adoption of best practices in monitoring, logging, and tracing.

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering with focus on observability, monitoring, or infrastructure
• Deep hands-on experience with Grafana stack (Grafana, Mimir/Prometheus, Loki, Tempo) in production
• Strong understanding of metrics, logging, and distributed tracing at scale
• Experience with OpenTelemetry for instrumentation and telemetry collection
• Proficiency in Go (strongly preferred) and scripting languages like Python and Bash

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain observability platform using Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Alloy/Agent
• Develop and optimize dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLI frameworks
• Build scalable metrics, logging, and distributed tracing pipelines
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry for standards-based telemetry collection
• Improve incident detection, root-cause analysis, and mean time to resolution
