Description
You will lead the inside sales team and oversee daily operations at the Madison location, ensuring alignment between sales, warehouse, and administrative functions. Your role drives team performance, enforces processes, and manages inventory, purchasing, and order management to support efficient and profitable business activity.
Requirements
- Experience in inside sales management
- Knowledge of HVAC or related industry preferred
- ERP system proficiency
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to enforce processes and ensure compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the inside sales team to ensure performance and accountability
- Enforce pricing guidelines and approval processes in alignment with national sales and operations leadership
- Monitor adherence to company operational procedures
- Provide guidance and support by addressing questions and resolving escalated issues
- Ensure timely follow-up on open quotes and sales opportunities
- Hold team members accountable for performance, recognizing both achievements and areas for improvement
- Promote efficient and productive use of time across the sales team
- Serve as the local subject matter expert for the ERP system (sales, inventory, and accounting functions)
- Review open sales orders weekly to identify missed billing and unfulfilled orders
- Monitor open purchase orders and address past-due items
- Oversee pick, pack, and ship processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Manage and approve departmental expenses
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate adjustments and process alignment
- Partner with operations staff to organize, maintain, and balance inventory levels
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including cycle counts and reconciliation processes
- Oversee local purchasing activities and coordinate with national purchasing teams
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Establish and enforce workplace safety protocols
- Ensure all staff maintain required certifications, licenses, and compliance documentation
- Manage office supply levels and ensure timely ordering of operational needs
- Coordinate with building management to address facility issues and ensure timely resolution
