Description

As a Senior QA Engineer on the Safety Engineering team at Roblox, you will be the first dedicated QA hire, owning end-to-end test strategies for critical safety systems and parent-facing features. You'll collaborate across the organization to build comprehensive, risk-based test coverage, leverage automation frameworks, and drive quality metrics to protect millions of users.

Requirements

• 4+ years QA experience in backend-driven environments with strong test design skills
• Technical proficiency in API testing (REST, JSON, Postman) and ability to read code
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (UI and/or API) and understanding of automation architecture
• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or similar technical field
• Strong root cause analysis and cross-functional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Product to define risk-based test coverage for Safety features
• Own end-to-end test strategy including functional, regression, integration, and edge-case validation
• Leverage and expand internal automation frameworks for critical user flows and API-first validation
• Identify high-impact automation opportunities and design robust, abuse-resistant test scenarios
• Develop and report on quality metrics to surface release risks to stakeholders
