💼 About This Role

You'll own all accounting operations at a high-growth real estate startup, leading financial reporting and audit while serving as the in-house technical accounting authority. Your core impact will be driving the integrity of financial reporting and building scalable systems as the company grows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements including footnote disclosures.
• Lead external audit relationships with Big-4 firm and ensure no significant findings.
• Serve as technical accounting authority on complex areas like ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Support cash flow management, banking, treasury, and working capital optimization.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of public and industry
• Proven track record leading and developing accounting teams in high-growth environment
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and experience navigating complex technical accounting matters

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in real estate, mortgage, fintech, or financial services industries
• Background in private equity-backed or venture-backed companies
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
