You'll architect and scale key systems like databases and distributed jobs for a growing fintech platform that serves self-employed Americans. You'll drive reliability, observability, and developer tooling while mentoring engineers. This role offers ownership of critical infrastructure at a fast-paced startup with broad impact across a 30+ person engineering org.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect future versions of databases and distributed job systems.
• Design safer, reproducible developer tooling for deployments.
• Drive observability and incident response excellence.
• Mentor engineers on reliable, fault-tolerant system design.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of backend experience in public cloud.
• Proven track record scaling and troubleshooting production systems.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end request flow across stack layers.
• Strong knowledge of SLAs and SLOs implementation.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, StatsD, or Prometheus.
• Working knowledge of PCI and SOC2 compliance.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
