💼 About This Role

You'll lead financial reporting, controls, and reinsurance processes for Wakam's UK entity, acting as a finance business partner. You'll ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP and drive finance transformation initiatives. This role offers exposure to the European leader in digital insurance.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements.
• Maintain and strengthen the financial controls environment.
• Own reinsurance financial reporting, including treaty statements and margin calculations.
• Act as X-Layers system owner, managing inputs and outputs.

📋 Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Post-qualification experience in insurance or financial services.
• Expertise in IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting.
• Experience with reinsurance finance processes.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with X-Layers or similar reinsurance system.
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of PRA/FCA regulatory requirements.
