You'll drive the technical direction for Session Replay, a new Grafana Cloud product connecting frontend signals to session-level evidence for faster debugging. You'll architect backend data pipelines for columnar storage and querying at scale. This role shapes both product and architecture in a high-impact, early-stage team at a leading open-source company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end technical direction for Session Replay
• Design columnar/analytical storage systems for large-scale session data
• Define data models, ingestion pipelines, and query patterns
• Lead investigation workflows connecting replay with logs, metrics, and traces

📋 Requirements

• Go for backend services and APIs
• Experience with data-intensive systems including ingestion, storage, querying, and cost trade-offs
• Ability to own features in ambiguous problem spaces
• Strong communication in written and spoken English

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with columnar/analytical databases
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Sentry
• Experience with performance-sensitive systems handling large datasets or real-time queries
