💼 About This Role

You'll lead a sub-team within the In-Space Propulsion product line, owning system design through the lifecycle and driving product success from concept to delivery. You'll serve as the primary technical point of contact, manage technical scope, and ensure mission success for critical aerospace programs. This role offers the chance to architect propulsion systems that solve urgent national security demands.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage systems engineering sub-team, including hiring, mentoring, and career growth
• Own technical success of propulsion systems and subsystems with 100% mission success
• Architect in-space propulsion systems including schematics and sizing
• Create and manage systems engineering tools and processes

📋 Requirements

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years experience in aerospace system design or project management
• Experience with spacecraft hypergolic chemical propulsion system design
• Experience applying aerospace systems engineering processes (design reviews, verification, risk assessments)

✨ Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in a technical field
• Experience with multiple systems engineering organizations and product lifecycles
• Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS or JAMA
