💼 About This Role

You'll define and build Hopper's HTS API marketplace from 0 to 1, packaging technical capabilities into enterprise API products. You'll work closely with capacity PMs to understand roadmaps and constraints, then create commercial product packages with pricing and developer experience. This role offers the chance to shape a revenue-generating platform using AI prototyping tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define API marketplace structure, packaging, and pricing for portfolio capabilities
• Coordinate with capacity PMs to translate technical roadmaps into external API products
• Manage business model decisions including platform vs. variable fees and commission structure
• Build partner onboarding experience, API specifications, and documentation from scratch
• Use AI and rapid prototyping to test ideas before committing engineering resources

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience with at least one 0-to-1 product
• Experience building B2B or developer-facing marketplace products including API design and enterprise packaging
• AI-first workflow: using LLMs and vibe coding for prototyping
• Strong understanding of marketplace economics: commissions, supply/demand incentives
• Proficiency in SQL and working with large transactional datasets

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in travel commerce (lodging, cars, flights) or fintech/advertising
• Knowledge of distribution systems (GDS, channel managers, OTA APIs)
• Prior engineering or data science experience
