Description

As a Senior Tax Manager at Wilson Lewis, you will serve as a primary technical resource and people leader within the tax department, overseeing complex engagements and developing managers and seniors. You will act as a main client contact, work closely with partners to manage risk and drive quality, and contribute to the growth and culture of the firm.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager in public accounting
• Strong technical knowledge of tax laws for entities including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profits
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills, with ability to lead difficult conversations
• Experience supervising and developing tax professionals
• Ability to work autonomously with high degree of autonomy

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review complex tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profits
• Serve as primary technical resource for seniors and staff, staying current on tax developments and leading internal training
• Act as main client contact for a portfolio, maintain proactive communication, and attend client meetings independently
• Lead planning, budgeting, and staffing for engagements; monitor budget compliance and communicate billing opportunities
• Supervise seniors and staff, provide review feedback, and ensure workpapers are complete and signed off
