Description

You will be responsible for ensuring electronics performance through harsh electromagnetic environments, focusing on EMC and radio certification for the Starlink system and support hardware. You'll perform pre-compliance testing, design and operate an EMC test facility, and troubleshoot EMI issues from board to system level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline
• 1+ years of hardware-focused test engineering experience (internships and project experience applicable)
• 3+ years of E3 work experience including EMI/EMC and RF requirements preferred
• Experience with CISPR/FCC Radio and EMC standards preferred
• Experience operating and automating EMI, RF, and electronics test equipment

Responsibilities

• Support pre-compliance and 3rd party certification testing per IEC/EN/CISPR/FCC standards and DO160G
• Design, build, procure and operate an EMC test facility including 10 meter chamber and conducted EMC assets
• Obtain and maintain lab accreditation for self-certification (e.g. A2LA or NVLAP)
• Perform EMC design analysis for grounding, bonding, shielding, emissions/susceptibility, and near/far field electrodynamics
• Generate test plans/reports and troubleshoot EMI issues from board to system level
