Description

You will research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for Nuro's planning stack, enabling safe, driverless autonomy for robotaxis and L2 solutions for automakers. You will work with cross-functional teams to advance machine learning and robotics technologies in autonomous driving, and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters in robotics, CS, engineering, math, or related field
• Robotics expertise in path planning, motion planning, trajectory generation, optimal control
• ML experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, transformers, diffusion models
• Strong Python/C++ coding proficiency
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and derive best solutions

Responsibilities

• Design and implement novel robotics and ML technologies for the Nuro Driver
• Work cross-functionally with behavior, perception, mapping, and ML research teams
• Implement practical solutions with production-ready software for deployment on real vehicles
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Develop intelligent strategies to leverage diverse data for learned behavior stack
