Description
You will conduct research, interview policy leaders, analyze legislative proposals, and develop policy recommendations for campaigns related to reproductive freedom, economic justice, and immigrants' rights. You will also participate in advocacy meetings and events involving clients, community partners, and government officials.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student
- Strong motivation and interest in civil rights and liberties
- Submission of cover letter, resume, and writing sample of 5 pages or less
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on civil rights and liberties issues
- Interview New Jersey and national policy leaders
- Analyze pending state and local legislative or regulatory proposals
- Develop policy recommendations for key campaigns related to reproductive freedom, economic justice, and immigrants' rights
- Participate in advocacy meetings and events involving clients, community partners, and/or government officials
