💼 About This Role
You'll provide supportive services at a day center for homeless women, using a harm reduction and housing first model. You'll build trusting relationships to help participants identify strengths, assess needs, and develop action plans toward stabilization. This role requires critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Staff front desk, monitor cameras, respond to callers and visitors
- Offer support and encouragement to clients transitioning out of homelessness
- Assist with housing applications, advocate with landlords, and aid in housing search
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed
📋 Requirements
- Two years of direct social service experience with homeless populations
- CPR/First Aid certification obtained within 30 days of hire
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and database use
- Commitment to diversity and sensitivity to clients from diverse backgrounds
