Description
You will draft, negotiate, and advise on IP contracts and corporate transactions, support product development by mitigating IP risks, and handle IP matters across sectors including licensing, brand protection, and patents.
Requirements
- Several years of post-qualification in-house legal experience (directly or as a secondee)
- Openness to part-time or full-time roles
- Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience
- Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills
- Right to work in the UK and be eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on IP contracts including licenses, assignments, collaborations, settlements, and confidentiality agreements
- Advise on IP elements of corporate transactions, including due diligence and drafting related documentation
- Support contentious and non-contentious IP matters across sectors such as licensing, brand protection, copyrights, trademarks, and patents
- Support product business development by mitigating third-party IP risks and defining IP strategies aligned with market goals
