💼 About This Role

You'll build the infrastructure that powers how billions of dollars move through payment rails, invoice workflows, and procurement systems. You'll design scalable backend services and enable AI-driven automation to reduce manual review and accelerate financial close. You will collaborate with Finance, Product, and Data teams to translate compliance policies into robust code.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build core P2P systems for invoice ingestion, approval workflows, and payment orchestration.
• Enable AI agents to automatically classify, validate, and process invoices.
• Own backend services processing large volumes of financial events across Bill Pay, Procurement, and Treasury.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Data to translate accounting policies into testable code.

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience in fintech, payments, or transactional systems.
• Proven experience designing data-intensive distributed systems with strong consistency and auditability.
• Deep knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Comfort building event-driven systems and scaling high-volume, low-latency architectures.

• Experience with accounts payable, payments, or reconciliation systems.
• Familiarity with accounting or ERP integrations (e.g. NetSuite, QuickBooks, Oracle).
• Background in compliance-heavy or regulated domains.
